OOS MOGA

Actually, would you consider welding a smoker for me after you get certified?
Already have the plans. Was considering this a few years ago when I thought about welding me own. Some models cut and weld

My wife's cousin in VT made his own, it's pretty nice.

yeah the DIY "ugly drum" smokers are pretty affordable

Good design, but I'm looking for a two stage reverse flow which can do a small pig
Similar to this Meadow Creek, without the chicken grill, this goes for 5K, which already a fair price
But sure I can do this for under 1000 in materials

Wow that is my dream smoker and looks a lot like the ones I want to get. Exact same setup, but I did want the grill. Supposedly the reverse flow is the way to go for the most even heat or they have ones that you can open vents to have it normal flow.

Does anyone want to ride Sunday afternoon ? I can't make WC Sunday morning my lovely wife is getting her hair did.
I have to go my daughters lax tournament in mt olive at 9am, it could be over around 1 or 2, could you do allamuchy around then?

I think it's over rated
Agree. I have the 2017 Hightower that came stock with 29 and switched over to 27+ for the last ride and left the fork at 140. Funny when I looked up the instructions for how to change the Flip Chip it said you "MUST" change the fork when changing the wheel size!? I understand changing the flip chip to increase BB height, but I'm not sure why you need more travel for the smaller wheels? I did notice more pedal strikes as a 27+ even though I changed to High position. Admittedly, I have limited time on the bike in total so I'll reserve judgement until I get some more saddle time (hopefully sometime this decade).🙂

The longer travel fork raises slightly the BB preventing the pedal strokes that you are experiencing. I discussed this with Knolly before ordering the bike and they also recommended a longer travel fork if switching over to 27.5"+ from 29" wheels.

I understand this, but it seems like tire size difference, would have a much larger impact than a 10mm change in the fork.

where does it say change the fork? maybe that is why they made it 29r only? the tallboy doesn't have any restrictions on the fork -
it says flip the chip, but i leave it in the high position anyway. sometimes i get nuts and ride mixed - 79r? 97r? what do we call that? (aside from lazy?)
