OOS MOGA

This is a really simple idea but I don't know what length it'll be. Draw a line about 2.5' up from the long edge of a sheet of plywood(higher will give you a steeper lip and shorter a mellower one but don't go so small that both wheels aren't on the face at the same time), run about 45° line from corner up to the line, then get a 10' stick and pin a nail through one end and tape a pencil to the other to draw the transition. You may need to play with where the transition line intersects the height line and maybe lengthen the run-out at the bottom but that'll give you the sides. Cut 2 and figure out how wide you want it and cut a bunch of 2x4's to length and screw them in connecting the sides. Cut and screw some plywood for the face and back and send it. This is pretty much how we made everything when I was younger, just play around with it until it looks right and as long as the radius isn't much smaller than about 8' it'll be good. If you want to get higher, shorter radius. Lower, longer. I'll knock something together when I get a chance and post it so you can see what I mean.

Okay you build the jump, you hit it hard and now your airborne. Where ya landing this here adventure? Flat landing it?

Keep the car running.... because you are driving me to the ER.
You need a landing ramp also IMHO. Look at it like this, your taking off 2.5 ft in the air right. Just to clear the jump your speed is gonna have to be high, agreed. Minimum height gained will be at least 2 plus ft. So now your say 4 ft. off the ground, (bottom of your wheels ) flat landing that could get ugly. Just saying. When was last time you dropped 4 ft. to a flat landing.

Has no one thought to just hit the jumps in the field on the blue trail at SixMile?

Or the tables at Nassau for that matter.....

Good point. That's how I wrecked the old cranks on my bike. Maybe butt it up to a bank to make it a step up.
