OOS MOGA

Putting out a Sunday (10/22) morning ride at Chimney Rock in case the Saturday mtbnj ride gets cancelled for rain. 9am at the ball field gravel lot out back. If Saturday happens, I can't ride both days. Will confirm on Friday night.
Don't think it would be prudent to ride on Sunday either at CR. Anyone have a suggestion? I'm still somewhat distance limited. Might be able to limp to Round valley...

Lewis Morris might be good. I rode with NICA there last Sunday afternoon after last weekend's rain and the trails were surprisingly dry. Tourne might also be in pretty good shape, I live 5 minutes from there and we didn't get much rain, the place drains well too. All of this depends on how much rain we get tomorrow.

I was in Clinton today, and it didn't rain at all. Looking at the predictions, RV or Nassau.

High Mountain is always ready to welcome riders to its sharks teeth and baby skulls! The middle of the mountain (the 4 loops) will be fine. The west side of the mountain will be wet on the fire road, but Ancients will be fine also.

Too far, car with bike hitch can't really be on the highway

I'm going to ride CR tomorrow as the Sunday mtbnj ride is looking more unlikely hour by hour. 9am at Newman's. Let me know if I should be looking for you. @cyclops join if you can, still beginner paced

Sorry I missed your message but I would not have been able to join anyway.
Was fun solo, park was pretty busy at 9am

The Saturday of that weekend looks good for me. What time you thinking ? I can bring 2, 20" bikes and my DJ, if not having " the right bike " is keeping anyone from joining, but you'll have fun on anything you ride. I've even seen a guy give it a go on a road bike.

Sounds good, what time? I'll have my Ellsworth specialist but interested in trying out a 20" bike for giggles. @serviceguy did you eventually get a DJ? Here's your chance to really ride it...

I did get the DJ but it's still in pieces, I need to:

- cut the steering tube on the fork
- install the bakes, speaking of which...front + rear or just rear? It's not like I'm going to spin the front wheel or anything, even though I must confess I entertained the idea of running the front brake inside the steering tube, so silly of me.
- install the cranks and chain.

I'll probably skip on my usual practice of fully wrap the frame in heli tape...or maybe I will.

Not far anyway, not far from being a bike.
