OOS MOGA

Normally I would agree. But when Frank makes up his mind... How long do you guys plan on riding and is 8:30 the start time or meetup time?
Meet time... because no matter what time you post... Frank is always 5min late 😛

Same as always I suppose. 2hrs moving time and 3hrs total

In all seriousness, should I go to this? It sounded like they'd be Sessioning serious tech, so I figure I'll be hiking a bike a bunch and watching people do cool shit. Id rather pedal. If it's trail riding, just techy, I'm in...but I think youre the only person I'd even know from the forum, so part of me thinks I'd rather die up north with these fools. Gimme your thoughts.

tough call.
there are features to play on. individual rocks, or a couple linked - they have trails next to them, cause we like hikers too.
Plenty of technical sections - extended rock gardens across streams, or just because.

there is one section, we'll have a couple goes at, and maybe set up a scorer's table for best failed attempt?

there are boardwalks, some chunky stuff. a bit of tech climbing, a bit of trail climbing.

it is a bit like wildcat with the climbing, some chimney rock thrown in with the chunky rock-based trails, and some northern park boulders.

i'd be glad to do another OOS ride there in the fall, we can go a bit easier, to keep the comfort level high.
Maybe get Vic to show us how to conquer the tough stuff.

When i went to Wildcat last week I realized some parks are above my pay grade. I found myself walking some sections of the park especially on the downhill. The combination of not knowing the trail and the gnarl was a recipe for disaster imo. Rather than getting hurt, I played it safe.

I think you mean @Mtbdog as he cleared more than anyone last year. I think you are fly fishing for volunteers.

I think I would be less afraid and be willing to take more risks if I knew the trails better. But at the end of the day.... I am just a peasant 🙁

You are scaring the clients.

Go out on new trails with a guide so you can see which way they go, and how they ride them.

Jim walks the dh when he looks at it and figures it just isn't worth it. So it isn't a noob thing.

we are all about fun (and pain) - so you are doing the 25 miler at Lucky's ?

No I am not! I was talking about WC 😛

That there... was my problem. I was riding with Max 😵
When I rode with @JimN last year.... he was too far ahead of me to see how he takes those lines.... not that it would have made a difference lol

Fun yes... pain no... I am allergic to pain. Lucky's soundz painful. Its a Saturday? Thank god I am on daddy duty 🙂

Yeah, maybe the fall would be better.

Where we riding on the 11th, kids? I wanna meet some more of you northerners and get ded on some rocks

Game on. Could do post ride meal at my friend's place, Missy's Main St Cafe.

They have pb&j stuffed french toast among other fat people foods.
Was thinking more like... post ride emergency room... but whichever is more fun 😛

Kidding... I think a proper intro to NNJ rocks would be RW.

But you're never free.... ah... I see what you did there! 😛
Yeah kinda sucks wife is off but I am stuck doing house work because I dont have to watch my kid. Maybe next weekend I can sneak out a couple big projects are almost done.

I'm game for wherever. Let's go to WC. We can walk before going down and session Stuff to be safer. Or ringwood or whatever. Doesnt matter to me.
