Yesterday's ride was to explore some "new to me" stuff on Bearfort Mountain section of Wawayanda State Park. Also, poked a little south into the Pequannock watershed.

What can I say? Same story; between weather, work, and trail conditions, it's get it when you can here in the lower Raritan Valley. I snuck out last night over the river for a change.

Enjoy this pic of my fine whip at the Demott Lane footbridge. I ziptied an extra blinky to the back of my helmet for added visibility.

farmside field trails - and some not so on the side near my home. found a great fishing spot - can't wait until it dries out a bit.
I'm amazed at how there can be a giant puddle in the middle of the field (ephemeral pool?) and it is solid right near the river. guess we have some clay.

Tuesday I took a short MTB ride at Allamuchy, starting from the Continental Drive / Waterloo Rd. lot.

After the short climb on the White trail, the trail was submerged, although there was a bypass trail to the right that was dry so I took that. Yellow was mostly good because of it being largely uphill / rolling and not low-lying. White between Yellow and Red had some wetter than usual sections. Red was relatively good due to it being higher ground, although the creek crossing was probably wider than usual. It was just a short ride.

Near what seemed to be the pinnacle of the yellow trail, I found a scenic overlook bisected by the teal Highland trail.

Got in a road ride before the tempest. Couple hours in the Sourlands. Toasted the legs on the way back as the wind started picking up (never know it by the results!)

I was prepared today.

always fun to see the alpacas out. They are very curious, and all start staring. Then go back to eating.

Back to the beach for more exploring before the storm. Got out to early for low tide, but I wanted to beat the storm. Bonus found a segment on the beach, I got 4th! PLACE !! wee! Well, out of 6 people but I don't care, it's still 4th. For Pat, took another picture of the bouy.
