NJ CX Cup

Since we had some changes to the CX Cup race schedule due to the storm I wanted to clarify a few things for everyone. The SCCX race this Sunday is still a cup event as was last week's BubbleCross. For the entire series there will be 2 drops instead of 3 since the first SCCX race was cancelled and now there are only 8 instead of 9.

Hope to see everyone out there for the last 2 races!

I need to separate Larry's name from what I'm thanking him for. Otherwise I'm thanking him for "this Larry", not the update on the CX Cup (which is the "this" in my sentence).

Isn't grammar fun? 🙄

It's better than math. Numbers make me angry. :getsome:

I guess what through me was why you utilized the name Larry at all. Had you not included the name I felt it was clear you would be thanking Larry because there was no one else you could have been referring to. I felt the comma on this case invoked a potential for sarcasm in a mild joking sense. Much like someone would say in the following example with a cx context for continuity:
Larry: The course will contain lots of running and then finish with a 300 step flight of stairs.
ChrisG: thanks,LARRY!

I guess the problem with writing in general is never quite knowing which words should be emphasized. I'm almost surprised that a system was never created with symbols and dots which would provide additional clarification to a person's intent. Kind of what you see in music notation.
I think once we advanced past "I bang on rock once, you come back" we never can truly understand each other.

Just a thought.
