GR, good to hear this. Keep up on the road bike and you will be ripping up those RW climbs in no time. Lots of people like the Allez.

Roads around Westwood are not the quietest, but plenty ridable. Head up to Harriman for best roads. It's not the easiest, but will get you in shape, fast!

The new Allez are supposed to be great. The designer, Chuck Teixeira likely knows more about Alu bikes than anybody on the planet. There is definitely some real innovative stuff going on with that frame.

Y U no like punctuation?

Being a mountain biker first and always, there is something just flava flav about reaching 50+ on a decent on tinny weenie tires. Speed and conditioning of a roadie just puts you to the next level in dirt. Just don't spend 80% over there because dirt skills get crippled.

I know nothing about the bike except that you can go really fast on it...

check out njbikemap.com I put together most of my routes based on this map. It gives you information such as elevation gain and whether the roads are busy, etc. A great tool for staying safe on the road by avoiding the busy roads.

I want to thank MST.ESQ for posting this. I have been wanting some maps that will help me on road rides, not only WHERE to go, but what the roads are like. These maps look great as they are color coded by how "bike friendly" they may be. I just printed up a bunch. Thanks again.
