New Surly ?

I'm curious to hear how much of a difference (if any) the 24" wheels make in required pedaling force. The aluminum rims/6" tires, of course, won't help matters...🙂

How do they justify that steep headtube on this, the front end will flop all around on rocks and sand and when you stop to enjoy the view. I guess it looks cooler.

Because slack is whack (bad), set by the industry Illuminati to dull your riding skills. Buying-in is infantile. Resistance is everything!

Seems to have a 1 1/8 head tube rather than tapered.
It doesn't even appear to be a 44mm headtube. Weird, looks like a step backward.

What's the point of front and back 12x197 hubs? Being able to swap wheels? So does the front have a freehub too? I don't get it.

Probably to compensate for the slow turning 6” tire. If it had even an XC bike HT angle I’d doubt it would turn.

New Surly Molenda tire is big!

Pretty cool. Price would probably hold me back, though. Interesting that the promotional pics all show the bike in sand given Surly's history of aiming fatbikes at the snow. Looks like it would be impossible to wheelie or even pull the front end up over a log with those long chainstays. Maybe you just aim the front wheel at any obstacle and the tire does the rest?
