Hey All,

I've been riding a mid-80's road bike with downtube shifters and the whole bit, even thinking about getting it powdercoated. Alas, last week on a group ride, I rode through a pothole that I would have bunny hopped or ridden around if I had seen it coming. The impact was pretty hard, so the tt and dt are damaged and probably on the way to failing. If anyone has a 55 or 56 in decent shape kicking around, I'd like to talk about taking it off your hands. I know there have been a few lately and I'm a couple weeks late in some cases. One of you has to have something interesting!

Thanks,
G

I don't think you're going to find a better option than the Ibis thread you posted in... It's priced right too.

Second Life Bikes

You might Find something interesting at Second life bikes in Asbury, G.
If nothing else, it's a really cool place to visit 😉
Unfortunately, You will have to get the car out for that trip 😀

G, Is the damaged bike the Miyata that you were telling me about at the Hell of Hunterdon? That sucks. I might have something for you. Let me look around. Thanks, Michael, for the visit a couple weeks ago. Glad you dig the place!

That Spanky looks like a great option; it's probably a little too nice for the parts I would be hanging on it.

Mike: I only need the car if I'm not building a bike to ride home 🙂

Kerri: I really appreciate your taking a look for me! Not sure this sort of hit would have hurt the Miyata; this is my "light, fast" bike, something like this:

Satan: tell me more about this Specialized. What type of tube set? 55 or 56? Does it come with a basket and streamers? 😛
