Nassau Trail conditions

Any updates on how the trails are? Ice? Frozen dirt?

I rode every trail today and if it’s not frozen, it’s not good. I skipped the foran entrance trail because I’m sure that was a disaster.

I went around 1030 ish and it was already turning into mush. I would avoid for a while longer.

It’s not terrible. Some spots were wet, but close to drying out. If it stays above freezing I think it’s going to be fine this week.

I also cleared a few trees on the flatlands trail. If anyone sees more, please post up here.

I cleared one on the Field doubletrack this morning, but I only cleared the part that was actually on the doubletrack. Not sure what the protocol is for the field, but there is still a big piece of tree trunk running from the woods line up to the doubletrack and some tree scraps on both sides.

Cleared one off of Chips Trail on the OG Nassau side, but there are a few more down on that trail I had no tools so only did what I could by hand. I got lucky with these two TBH

Started at Foran and the trail up was soft in only a few places. Springside trails very good. Went over to Nassau and was surprised to see trails are temporarily closed. I bailed and went back up the road to climb the field.

Hey, those trails are ok. I just need to put up the open sign. Sorry.

Yeah, other than the 1 spot by Foran field they were perfect!

Still a couple trees down on the OG side that need to be removed.

There I one small tree in springside about a foot off the ground in this general area.

There is a big boy down by 4way crossing on Nassau trail where logs have been placed as a sketch log over. Other downed tree is likely on Rocky Trail

I think I got the first two. I’ll check for the 3rd tonight if I can.

I did most of the park and good news.. the trails are in great shape. really good, go get them.

Bad news, there are a bunch of trees down throughout the park, so be careful. Hopefully they can be addressed shortly.

Was thinking about hitting up the Nassau trails tomorrow afternoon. Anyone been out there recently? Too wet? Trees still down?

It was in great condition on Wednesday. We did get some rain last night, but I think it should be pretty good for tomorrow.

A few soft spots, overall good though. Don’t be discouraged by the grass at Foran, once you get up it’s better.

If someone dropped a pair of Oakley Sunglasses, I found them. I left them by where they fell - shoot me a DM and I’ll guide them back to you.

Tangled mess on lost bike that you need to walk through brush to get by.

Came here to say the same.
Trails are grippy.
Took the road up to the grass field climb and back down to climb up chip's trail.

My guess is YES. I rode both sides of Nassau road Monday evening and they were good. I live in HB and I don't think we've gotten much of an accumulation since then. Maybe a few sprinkles.

Nassau is running really good.
One mud spot at the top ish area of Foran climb.
Also rode last night at 5:05 me and Mike were the only people in the park.
