If the title of this thread was "Music that Sucks", I would talk mainly about Lenny Kravitz. "I want to get away, I want to fly away, yeah yeah...yeah",. Now I am not a poet, but I am pretty sure I would be kicked out of Mr Beaumonts English class for presenting bullshit like that. .............. yeah I need to get on the bike:cry:

Tickets are on sale this week! Monday 12 noon to Wednesday 12 noon is the presale to theatre members, and Wednesday 12 noon is the on-sale for the general public. In just 9 months of 1970, the Grateful Dead recorded and released their 4th and 5th studio albums, Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty. Featuring 18 songs like “Uncle John’s Band,” “Casey Jones” “Box of Rain,” “Friend of the Devil,” “Sugar Magnolia,” “Ripple,” “Brokedown Palace,” and “Truckin’,” they fused rock, blues, bluegrass, folk and especially country music, changing the direction of the band, and popular music overall away from psychedelia toward a traditional acoustic sound. Guitarist Marc Muller directs a song-by-song celebration featuring special guests Chris Barron (Spin Doctors) and Buddy Cage (New Riders of the Purple Sage), plus the Live Dead Band including John Merjave from the Beatles band Liverpool; singer-songwriter and former Relix recording artist Jonah Smith; Trenton-based guitarist Scott Rednor; drummer Dave Anthony and percussionist Brian Kollins. An accomplished musician, producer and arranger, Marc has worked with Shania Twain, Van Zant, Tommy Shaw, and Branford Marsalis to name a few, and written and recorded music for PBS, Disney Channel, CMT and The Weather Channel.
 
music to tear up carpet to...

The last remaining wall-to-wall carpeting in our house has been on the stairs which greet you when walking in the front door. Knowing that it would be time-intensive, I waited till school was out to begin removing it.

So far, I've done four sessions, which adds up to seven steps done, six to go, and roughly 50,369 staples pulled.:drooling:

Finished tearing the carpeting off of the stairs today, inspired by:
-Neurosis Through Silver In Blood
-Fields of the Nephilim Elisium
-Neurosis Sovereign

I was at that show. Awesome show. 50 some odd years old and still rockin it.

I also saw Faith No More recently and a host of other great concerts in the last 3-4 months (including Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Muse/Silversun Pickups). Going to see Arcade Fire + Spoon next week, Porcupine Tree in Sep and Helmet just after that.

Fields of the Nephilim, that takes me back. I was listening to Dawnrazor a not that long ago.
