Its a motorcycle event thats allowing mountain bikes to run their course
its a fairground spectator friendly
The course includes a childrens mx course some obstacles cyclocross type roped off infield and then into woods for trail riding roughly 8 mile loop.
Transponders track your time and position as you cross finish.
I wish all mountain bike events had this!

Good luck to them. Glad to see them trying to mix it up. I doubt I would fit in well. I'm no throttle twister. I could only imagine what they would do to a boy in his Matchy-Matchy spandex and shaved legs. :eek: I bet they would like Shaniqua though!

I bet the course is CX friendly. But I'd probably get run out of town if I won it on a CX bike. Them thar boyz in the South prolly never seen my Ram's horns bars on my CX bike. :rofl:
 
Well the race course was a blast too bad more people didn't show
The promoter treated all seven of us like celebrities
The course was untouched by motorcycles so it would be as smooth as possible for the bikes .
He gave us 2 laps over a 4.5 mile course
He was open to any format but we got together and figured given the small numbers we'd do 2 laps.

I'll let you guys know when the next one comes around

My friend did it as a first time mountain bike race experience
A nice no pressure way to get your feet wet
The basically flat course made life easy and you could bypass the technical stuff with alternate longer routes
 
I won, it was only the second time I rode the niner in the dirt
Its like someones pushing from behind when you pedal
I love my new bike, the 29 inch wheels helped in the sand and soft dirt
