MTBNJ Short Track Race #1

This race will go on. Anyone with any interest at all should register here:

I will make you this guarantee. If you sign up, and do the race, and at the end can look me in the eye and say that a) we did a crappy job or b) the course was just miserable to ride, then I will give you a free entry to the 4th race, which should almost surely be free of snow.

Our ultra backup plan is to open the doors at 5am and give everyone free coffee for 4 hours and have the user base piss on the course and melt all the snow.

Just an idea, but you could run the Fat Bike class first. There's a good chance we can pack a trail for the rest of the fields to use.

I had one of these in my driveway last year, I had to keep spraying with water after a warm day to maintain the support. If there is one at this race, you should put a measuring device to measure how much air we get. Prizes for biggest air!
 
I peeked on Segundo at the course, he rode 100%. He is working the course right to left so should be packed nicely. Gonna do fat ride on it Thursday with Utah and Segundo. One thing certain this course will be ready...
 
I did several laps on the course today. Super fun loop!!! I was able to ride the whole course without any problems and without much effort really, as it was already packed by Matty and Patty. I did smooth it out though and is looking really good right now.

With the forecast we have ahead of us, and some more rides to maintain/improve the course, this will be a ton of fun. Don't miss this!

I was thinking about this too as I was riding it. However, if we do some more riding/packing on the course, and with the cold temps we're supposed to get between now and the race, it might not be needed.

At what time are you planning? It's at the main camp office. Let me make it clear that not just anybody can show up and ride. I need to get permission first. So contact me first please...

which camp? aren't there two in there?

i'm flexible, have to out of there by 2:00.

my son camps there in the summer, so i'm like family 😉

Somners, just give me a text when your gonna show. Easy to find course and easy to follow. Maybe I can get a chance to meet you.
 
i may go up and do a couple park ride.....could be there as early as 9:00, but probably 10:00
