Mountain Man Biathlon - 2009

given the entry fee and # of participants, i can't imagine it's a money issue. Probably just finding the time.

I won't be surprised at all if this is done. I'm getting the vague notion that the park is not thrilled with races there any longer.

They always run a bit slow with the MM. If Lewis Morris doesn't work out they could move it back to MD.

Yup. I did it one when it was still at MD. The Start/Finish was at the softball field.

Yeah I know, I'm just doing what everyone else did with the 40. I'll complain about it and then do it anyway, after all there isn't a lot going on at that time and I will need the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat.

According to some people at marty's (they used to run the mahlon race) they were no longer allowed because there was not a large enough parking lot. Thats what I was told. No idea how true that is

That happens quite a bit. A race outgrows the venue and has to move on. There used to be xc races at MD, Allaire, etc.

Was that before Mahlon had the parkin lot by the ball field? We definately need a race here the trails are amazing. Is there anything we could do to start one?
