I will ride you one day, hopefully before I am as old as @rick81721

Didn't even think about the altitude. I was huffing and puffing in Mexico city a few years ago
BTW, this wouldnt be a Fiddlers Elbow type effort as that is above 20% grade. While some steep grades, this is a military built road and has a fairly consistent 7-9% average grade. Obviously not a picnic but a different type of effort.

Agreed. Strava says Fiddlers is 8% but that's the whole climb, counting the top run out. It's defined as a 1.4 mile segment but the climbing is all in the .1 to .7 mile realm, with at least half being a moderate amount of vertical.

Having said that, if you can't make it up Fiddlers I don't think I'd buy a bike bag & a ticket to Italy just yet.

I only tried it once almost 2 years ago - pretty sure I can do it now. I made a loop starting at spruce run that hits iron bridge - gotta ride that one soon.

That's 10 minutes from my house. Riding in that area will definitely build you some nice quads. It's also like interval training without even trying....climb, recover, climb recover, climb....
