Long Branch?

So, good chance I'll be taking the wife and kids to Long Branch mid-week next week for a day. We usually go to Deal but the public beach club there was destroyed by Sandy, so now we're not fully sure where to go. We're thinking Long Branch only because friends were there a week or so ago and said the beach is in good shape (though not all of the town is back to 100%).

My question for you shore dwellers/locals: Think it'd be ok to ride the Fattie there?

Long Branch has a mix of public and private beaches. My guess is they've never had to deal with anyone trying to ride on the beach. You could probably get away with it during off hours. Probably not a good idea in the middle of the day. Beaches can get crowded, even mid-week. As for any lingering effects from Sandy, the beach is fine, and the town was not one of the harder hit areas.
