i gots it - like it for amazon and netflix - although have been using the xbox lately. got a firestick too, but haven't taken it out of the box. maybe this weekend.

i'll still stop by tho - sit on the porch, and wave to the neighbors....drink ice tea, discuss remodeling with Mandi 😀

oh, and just to be correct before getting called out - it is window replication in chrome (specifically a tab, or video in the tab) - not screen replication.

youtube also sees the TV's built in rendering device - so i can watch on that too. It would be so much easier if this was built into the cable/directv box -
 
I can stream over chromecast to TV from android tablet, phone and my laptop.
+1 for android and PC
 
What doesn't work Fidodie? I screencast my phone to the TV sometimes.
I've never done a chrome tab to windows since I've never owned a laptop and there is no TV in my computer room so it would be weird to do.

musta been the network in the house i was in. haven't tried my android tablet, cause i never turn it on except to kindle....maybe i'll give it a whirl.
 
Sometimes those cables go bad over time or very quickly. You could try with a new official Apple cable first and see if that's the problem with your iDevices.

Forgot about this one. All my 'inexpensive' cables went into the garbage a few updates back. if it worked, then stopped working - this.
