At last year's race, besides the bear on the course, the promoters mentioned something about poison ivy. Is there a lot of poison ivy along the course?
Just don't go off course like last week and you should be good 😉

No one knows????Does anyone know what time the race course will be marked on Saturday?
It is debatable as to whether it was PI or something else. Shortly after my preride there last year I had these things on my legs that were super nasty and even left a few scars on my calfs. I never figured it out for sure but I think they were chiggers.

If you survived the poison ivy at Stewart, you shouldn't have anything to worry about here.
...and that was me that ran into the bear last year.![]()
The bear was standing in the middle of the trail during the race last year. It was bigger than me, so my teammate, who was right behind me, decided to wait until if moved off, or at least headed away from us. Luckily it did. I think the generator at the finish line displaced the poor thing.
i'm going to try my best to get pictures that are much different than what in normally supply.
i try and catch the spirit of each race, which is usually pretty damn hard to do with a closeup of a rider, but i try. i'm always open to suggestion also.
