They don’t call me NPJ (no pads jim) for nothin...Dude, get some pads. You are one of the most aggressive riders I know.

The large for me started out tight, then the pad portion stretched out. The spandex portion has not stretched much. Sometimes on a long ride I will feel a slight discomfort on my hamstrings as it feels a little snug, but I just ignore it😂. Results may vary...Ok so they arrived exactly at the right moment today when I was done with my lunch ride and finished showering and getting dressed. Went out right as the mailman left and no one in the house even saw me bring them inside.
Opened the package thought they were red and realized it’s just the storage bag. Opened the bag and thought there was only 1 pad but the other one was tucked inside. 🤦🏻♂️
I’ve never worn or ridden with knee pads before so hard to judge if these will work for me.
Initial trying them on seems to align with @Victor I I comments they are a little loose in the knee but seem ok on the thigh and calf. I went with the XL because I was worried the L might cut off my thigh circulation based on the measurements and everyone commenting elsewhere in online reviews to size up cause they run small. I don’t think I will be able to really tell how they are until I ride with them if they will stay in place or not.
One trick I learned with my knee warmers is to moisten the silicone grippers to help them stay in place better. I tried that and I have been wearing them around the house under my sweatpants since its cold in my basement with the AC on and i dont want 1000 questions from the family.
Well so far maybe they are too big because they already slide down a bit from the thigh. Might bring them anyway this sunday and see how it goes during a real ride. I just hope I don’t need to test them Sunday for real.

So my tops are tucked under the grippers on my chamois/ballistic armored shorts, which keeps them up quite well. I will wear the G-Forms on Sunday to show solidarity and in case I try a double.
I also use their elbow/forearm guards and like those, too. Armor is the way:

Ok, so wore these for the first time at creek yesterday. Put them on at 11:45 and took them off at 7:15. Temp was 70’s and not humid. Did 20 laps. After an initial adjustment shortly after I put them on, they never moved. Obviously not much pedaling but for the most part didn’t even notice them. And they didn’t seem hot whatsoever. I didn’t crash so can’t speak to that. They did leave a raw spot at the upper gripper on both legs in the front. I am going to mark my current impression as impressive.View attachment 159459
seem comfortable enough but have not ridden. Honestly I can’t see wearing these over often but good to have.
can’t wait to be shamed at creek with these on and an open face helmet.
Just picked these up:

Initial wearing them around the house thoughts. Very limited protection...I haven't had any major knee shots so this is what I wanted. They're comfortable as all hell though and fit me nice. Should work nice for regular trail riding.
The POC long knee pads might help.I got a pedal strike on my shin which the pads couldn't protect. Maybe I should wear shin guards. Hmm...
Yeah, I have a separate pair of G-Form pads that extends down to cover the shins but I don't want to ride XC with that much on my legs. The POC long knee pads might help.

With a thicker protector covering the knee and shin, this pad is an ideal choice for downhill and bike park use, or for anyone looking for the highest level of protection.na.pocsports.com

same ones! will prob get the elbow pads too for the next ride i do that involves more than Columbia Trail.I bought the G-Form Pro X2’s.
Rode Stephens yesterday for about 90 minutes and they stayed in place just fine. It was humid AF so there was a considerable amount of sweat, probably just a little more so with the pads.
Got the elbow pads too. Have not tried yet doe.
Holy hell, 20 laps? After 10 laps my forearms are on fire. After 12 laps i have to forcefully peel my fingers off the grips and beg my wife to spoon feed me dinner. 🤣 🤣Ok, so wore these for the first time at creek yesterday. ... Did 20 laps.
