Sweet! Shouldn't be too much work to clear out those trails right? That indeed would be a nice addition.

Boardwalks? Jeez what is this Sourlands :) Seriously where are they going? That upper yellow swamp land we were talking about? The new stuff on the blue loops with the rock armoring is looking great now. I was really surprised to see that's basically one of the driest parts of the park now.

Mostly on the Newmans Lane side & the cross over section north of the reservoir. None where the armoring is though. The yellow wasn't in the plans as most of those issues didn't arise until recently, maybe next year.

HELP WANTED - Trail Maintenance

Wednesday (Yes I wrote Wednesday) 7-11-07 @ Washington Valley Park(AKA Chimney Rock) 5.30pm -8.00pm

Meet in Newman’s Lane parking lot

We scheduled a weeknight TM to try & get some people who can't make it out on the weekends. We plan on finishing the last boardwalk on the Newmans Lane side. Hope to see some new faces there.

monmouth county does have a regular trail schedule. Spring trail sessions have ended. I am waiting on the new fall schedule from susan walsh.

Reminder for this Saturday. The plan is to do some rock armoring of a few muddy spots on the white trail. Hope some of you can make it out.

Yeap. We had a small turnout, 3 of us plus the ranger got 2 always muddy spots on the outer loop of the white trail armored. I think it came out really good & should hold up for years. The few pics attached are hard to see the finished trail with all the mud covering the rocks.
