It's called Candyass because...

You're a Candy Ass if you don't watch my video of Candy Ass from yesterday. I believe this is now the one and only full ride through of Candy Ass on the interwebs.
Thanks for the video recon....saved me a hike! looks like decent shape.

My pride may be hurt a little though after you made a few of the spots that own me look easy.

I rode CA this afternoon and it remains in great shape. Super easy to follow for what it is. Having decent amount of traffic in the last year really ate away at the leaves a good bit and burned in the trail nicely.
Yay you rode your bike, fish aren't biting? 🐟🐟🐟

Rode this yesterday. Compared to the last time I did it (4 years ago) it's in fantastic shape.

Whoever is maintaining this - kudos to you. Great work and your efforts are much appreciated!

This has been @Fat Trout baby, for whatever reason he has a relationship with this trail lol.
Thank goodness because @hardtale70 dropped off the the face of the (mtb) earth, relatively speaking. I still send kisses his way but he's in full homeownership mode and sold his bikes to fund his renovations lol.

Rode this with @Norm yesterday. I hated it most of it but I loved the tech before the long finish. Very raw and tight. I had more fun on Lumpy and Rolly but nothing against CANDY, just had wrong bike for it. Thanks to whoever is doing the TM.

Resurrecting this thread for the hell of it.

I went down candy ass today after clearing some trees on cardiac. CA is rideable the whole way. there were 2 tree spots that I cleared near the exit. I cleaned up the worst of some overgrowth as best I could given I had a bike and chainsaw pack. I'll try to go back with a weedwacker at some point just to knock stuff back but its not a problem to ride as is. I also cleaned up 2 spots that were not obvious on where to go so that should help. If I do get back to hike to hit the growth it I'll try to do a little more on making trail direction clear but its not bad now. Note to self however. No more bike + chainsaw pack + wet rocks. brutal.

Post any CA issues here or on the main Allamuchy north thread. For this trail more than any other, any ability to give a trailforks map location on down trees helps a ton.

CA is rideable the whole way.

Well, technically, I'm sure it is... Personally, I have doubts. Just tried it for the first time today after seeing it on TrailForks (had been using a DEP map for years with most of the trails unlisted), and it kicked my ass. It definitely doesn't see a lot of action to wear in the line. The good news is, if you lose the trail, you can just spin in a circle looking for the most ridiculous obstacle to route a trail through and probably pick it up again there!

Candyass was the most ridable / easy to follow I have seen it, thanks for the trail work.
