Is this a normal noise for a shock?

I just received my new YT Jeffsy yesterday (photos coming soon). The shock makes a squishing noise when it compresses. I didn’t remember this from my other bike. It makes this squish sound on the compression and the rebound stroke. If it’s just oil in the damper that’s fine, I just want to make sure it’s normal.

No that's not right. Bring it back to the shop where you bought it and they should be able to help you out.

Could just be some excess oil and grease in the air spring causing the equalizing port to make noise between positive and negative chamber. I'd ride it once see if it changes then find out how good yt warranty department is .
