Is it a fad, a group or a club? It's OOS, the thread to rule them all!

Its great you guys are volunteering but you can't do this forever. If there comes a pt where you say you can no longer do it, we are back to where we are now which is why I favored the rotating admins. Which is why we need commitments from more than a couple.

I will add my discussion points but honestly not sure why it changed from a couple months ago.

Ride locations were posted weeks in advance with no "leader" why did that change to having a leader?

You need 2/3 Strava admins to post the rides on strava. I will volunteer but i think we already have enough?

The big question is wether we want 1 OOS ride a week or do we want to have multiple?

1) Post a ride in the OOS ride thread admin moves it to Strava with a time that the ride STARTS and location.

This is what I was saying I'm gonna make a group of people who have been here for a while to be able to post rides.

No need to maintain a ride log going more than 2 weeks out. I don't know what I'm doing in 3 weeks how can I commit to a ride to lead in 3 months?

There will be the special rides like mooch and shit but most of those rides are us joining the regulars at that trail so that guide would be going with or without us.

Are we in agreement that there is no need to keep a ride log?

I'm gonna reach out to a few of you to be jumped in and make you a strava admin. Strava stays so people know where the ride is with out having to read the thread.

If we have several admins on strava no one is running the show, someone brings up a ride in the thread it gets posted on strava those who want to ride come out those who don't don't or can have their own ride.

I'm down with that.

Alright...I am signing off for a few. I have done nothing today except browse here, look up gravel rides, and attempt to satiate my uncontrollable appetite. Gotta work. Chat soon 🙂

Strava is easy, it gives members notice of a ride after it is listed. In.

Rotating admins does not mean all are working at the same time.
1 per given period of time while others are on stand by waiting their turn.

@Paul H I said while back I'll be down to lead rides once the weather breaks.. I'll lead rides at parks I don't even know.. As long I'm on my purdy red 5010 bicycle with my fellow MTBikers that's all it matters
If we are talking about the system I have set up... leading... or coordinating rides is not a real issue IMO.
If we are talking about something... I cant say one way or another

Can anybody sneak out for. Ride on Thursday. I haven’t ridden since mooch/Stephens with you guys. I need to get back on the bike.

The issue with that is if someone is not paying attention for a few days they can miss the post with the ride info if a few of us are admin one person doesn't have to take the lion share of paying attention. Most likely an admin will be involved in that conversation or will just be inviting people out to ride with them. Remember those post work rides we had in the spring and summer, I want to go from wanting to ride to riding with people within the day but also advertise on strava so anyone can join.

The more the merrier

@Mathers and I are looking to do wildcat on Friday pending weather.

If you decide on something yourself and would like to put out the invite lmk I'll post it on strava.
