I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and say if the OP doesn't know what an Allen Key is, the wheel and hanger are never coming off the bike 🤣

Very true and I thought about the same thing. However, we do ride with different groups and there's always one or two that wouldn't know what to do if something mechanical happens and at the same time there's always someone who does know and will be able to help. Talking from experience and I'm not saying if I was the helper or the helpee. My suggestion to the OP is if he wants to swap out the cap then keep the tool with his spare hanger/tube/tools/etc. on rides anyway. I've seen too many walks of shame out of the trails back to the lot to not be prepared.

lmao i had used an allen key to unscrew it, but it was really stuck in there and wouldn't budge so I thought I was doing it wrong. but your right, I'm not gonna mess with the wheel for a while lol
