how do I install a new headset cap

hey everyone, how do i install a new headset cap to replace the one I have on my rustler? I'm not really good with working on my bike mechanically so don't really know what I'm doing lmao. thanks in advance

A tool for a tool. LOL. BTW, I'm not calling the OP a tool. OK, that cap is actually a tool to replace the derailleur hanger so you don't want to get rid of it. I had it with my Bucksaw so if I recall it comes off just like a regular headset cap.

i had another headset cap i wanted to switch it out for but I noticed it's different then the ones on my other bikes. tbh idrk what I'm doing lmao

Only stupid questions are the ones you already know the answers to. Don't mind all the teasing. Youtube is a great resource for learning.

1. stick allen key in bolt
2. unscrew (lefty loosey)
3. remove cap
4. install new cap
5. reinstall bolt (righty tighty)
6. Don't over tighten bolt

Bonus: dab a tiny bit of grease* on the bolt before installing.

*not chicken grease.
