Groomed Trails in NJ?

Tourne had a nice looking channel from the snowshoes and foot traffic, but it was still too soft. I think after a freeze it will be good to go until it warms up. I ended up skiing and had a blast.

Strava tells me it's rideable, looks like only an inch or so.

Stewart is totally ride-able. Only an inch of snow there. Rode today. Get some.

The faulty yet genius marketing of fatbikes seems to have created such a panic that I've been considering cutting a groomed course in at the farm an just charging y'all to get yer fat on. I can't imagine the insanity that would push anyone to actually snowshoe to be able to ride a bike😱

Went riding at Huber today. There were some snowshoe trails that made it possible but it was sketchy, at least for me. I had some hike a bike for sure. But mixed in were some amazing stretches of riding! This is my first time riding deep snow so it was a real learning experience! There were a lot of short but very steep climbs I just couldn't do, my rear wheel would spin. I was down to about 2/2psi and it went through a few little stretches of 5-6" snow like nothing. It handled the hard packed icy stuff perfectly. I can't go anywhere in fresh 20" of course. Rode a local park after that and had a blast on some heavily walked stretches but riding to the trail at psi that low was weird... Fun day, a learning curve for sure...

Yeah, I was there on the skis. Snow shoers had a trail broken in but it was still too soft for tires. I saw 2 fatbikers with lights on the rold near the circle.

There are two "forests" in the area. I usually park at the Summit Pool or if it is the other one, I park behind the Millburn Dunkin'

Hey Paul I just saw this question now🙁 Yeah I hit up Tatum snowshoeing Sunday am. Started from upper lot just as plows were clearing the lot, so I had fresh tracks on all of the upper trails. Came across some tracks around some of the lower fields that look to have been from Saturday, below are a couple pics i took along the way...

Then when I got back home my neighbor had these waiting🙂 Not my first choice but was happy to see cold beer🙂

I think I posted this somewhere else already, but the tourne is really packed nice. Even in warm Temps last night it was totally solid and no problem riding throughout the park.
