Great idea up in smoke

I tried to beat the heat today with an air conditioner on my back at 6mi.I took a backpack placed two ice packs in it and 4 cold water bottles along with my regular riding gear.It worked except the pack was too heavy and caused the front tire to loose traction. Then there was the minor problem of the front tire popping wheelies without notifying me.Finally we get to the counter weight situation. When I turned right the pack was going left ,and of course when I turned left the force went to the right.I must have looked drunk on the bike.Of course my experiment was performed in the twisties.Back to the drawing board.

Maybe try using a Camel-back style backpack? They are designed to a tighter fit on your torso, keeping any weight you have in it will move more naturally with you, rather than flopping around in a book-bag.

You know those little cold gel packs that people use on their eyes?

How about a full upper body suit worth? Granted you would need some puncture resistant material, and plastic against the skin is a terrifying concept.
Also, the gel wouldn't stay cold for a full days ride, but it's an idea.

Get yourself a Camelbak... fill the bladder 2/3 then inflate it and chuck it in the freezer with the part where the hose connects with the bladder up so no water is covering it and PRESTO!.... icy cold drink, and an nicey chill Camelbak without all the bulk.
