good old movies???

my mind is drawing a blank (typical of me)

I am looking to find some older good classic movies to add to my collection. movies like ....the outsiders, warriors, 1990 the bronx warriors. more like gang type movies and such.

not old classics like gone with the wind lol

any suggestions?

gangs of new york, a Bronx Tale, American History X, and I like Basketball Diaries. Check out "way of the gun" too. The first five minutes are cinematic genius😀

due to this being a recession I am up in the air about that one..... care to lend me your personal copy to watch it 6 or 7 times so I can justify the purchase?? TIA my friend😀

Holy hell, someone else that's seen 1990 the bronx warriors. That's one of those movies that I loved as a kid, but I'm afraid to watch now for fear that I'll hate it which will ruin my memories of it. :hmmm:

yeah man, I saw that in the movies and I feel the same way.... I remember one scene when some guys were in the sewer, and one of them got shot and some blood flew up in the air, and like floated for a second.... good stuff lol

I think I will have to see it. maybe I'll put it on my xmas list instead of neverending story lol
 
Get Shorty and The Usual Suspects are both perfect films, IMO.

I havent seen all of get shorty, but I have seen Be cool... which is I think either a sequel or prequel to get shorty....

yup usual suspects is awesome. cant go wrong with Spaceys acting in that one.
 
I remember watching "The Last Dragon", a 1985 blaxsplotation martial arts film. I thought it was the best movie ever when I was younger. I saw it on DVD in Best Buy for like 10bucks (should have been my first clue) and picked it up. Not nearly as good as when I was a kid:hmmm:

Not quite a classic I don't think but its a movie I remember from back in the day.

I felt the same way when I watched the original "Inglorius Bastards". Definately not as good as when I was 8.

I just bought it from a ShopRite blow-out bin. It IS as good as I remember, maybe better!! Sho' Nuff!!

Here's a couple that come to mind... Reservoir Dogs, The Italian Job and Ocean's Eleven (the original, not the one with Clooney and Pitt).

And IMO no movie collection is complete without Swingers and Braveheart.

I was just going to suggest the Italian Job. I will also throw "Snatch" and "300" into the mix.
