GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE!!!!!!

My opinion on bike shops is probably the same as coffee shops. It costs a goddamn fortune just to rent the retail space so you have to assume they're cutting corners at every step of the way to stay above water. I cannot imagine what rent for that HB store in Summit costs per month.

So if they gave free cookies they would have been made by some kid making such a low wage that they would probably be inedible.

No cookies are inedible. Although one time one of my children made cookies with Salt instead of Sugar and they were difficult to get through, but edible.

Gary- I had no idea. Happy retirement! Years ago, my 9 month old daughter was in RWJ with RSV. I stopped by the shop several times just to shoot the sh!t. You handed me a ton of past, out dated Dirt Rags to help me get thru that as a new Dad. Thanks man- that meant more than you know.

I'll be here till at least 6 tomorrow. Still have 8 bikes. All could be yours for the right price.

Seriously, still have one Allez in a 56, one Diverge in a 58 and one Jamis Renegade in 56. Plenty of shoes left and some decent tires too.
Which Diverge do you have?

Thanks! ironically I’m a 58 but not in the market for a bike tho.

Google maps took me this way anyway due to traffic this morning.

See u later regardless unless work messes me up last minute.

I love Pop's! I didn't really love Effingers. And I was sad the Bound Brook shop closed. I try to support them all the time
Thanks Ejd... Efinger was an interesting thing for us. While one of the owners was very supportive and let us do our own thing most of the time, the other one liked busting our balls and made us do some stupid stuff for sure. Bound Brook closed when the owners sold the building, and the new owners seem to have just wanted the property, not interested in renting. There is something to be said for guiding your own ship....We bend over backwards to try and make our customers as happy as possible. I just absolutely refuse to have my staff abused by entitled Karens and Kevins, and now have the authority to fire them as customers. That may seem harsh to some people, but I have great people here and they know I will have their backs.

That may be true, but it’s after buying at least 15 (so $45k….at least) of bikes in retail. So I’ve definitely supported.
Um...OK...Congratulations? I am sure the shop(s) that you purchased from appreciated it, as we appreciate our customers who have done the same.

I’m sorry how I might have come off. It’s not meant to throw shade on bike shops. I don’t know you, and have never been to your shop.

My point and intent was maybe the people on this site could offer some constructive insight that could help shops. Clearly I was way off base. It’s super difficult to have an open and honest discussion between shops and customers. Best of luck
