I ran that set-up for a little bit. Maybe a couple months? It's still set-up like that on those wheels and has been holding up very well.

Well, we dodged a bullet I think. I was hoping for more snow but we still got 5 or 6 inches I guess.
Disregarded doctor's orders to not ride. Screw those guys. I switched my tires to play in the damn snow, so that's what I did!! Rode up to Watchung to meet a group of fellow fatties. Conditions were perfect. Some areas were packed and fast while other less used sections were deep and untouched. Great balance for a fun ride!!
I think I ended up running about 2PSI in the rear tire before the day was out. Slipped on some climbs in the beginning part of the ride and dropped accordingly until it hooked. Then I re-inflated before the road ride home.

Hey Jim, is it too difficult / expensive to convert the Fatboy to SS? I'm trying to decide if to sign up for SSAP in the Fat category and I couldn't find much info online.

I run the Problem Solvers EBB in mine. Only issue is you'll need to run a 24mm crank for those to work. And you'll need to find aftermarket bolts to fit the 100mm BB shell.
I didn't have any luck running a ssingleator, it kept skipping. I ended up zip tying it to the frame and that worked, unless you get a flat!!

OK. I get the 24mm crank part but not the after market bolts 😱 I'll look into it though.
I also ran a singletor in the 907 with 3 zip ties and still skipped on the hills. It didn't help that I was running a very small cog 15-16 b/c I had a 28T ring. I might try the singletor again with a larger ring/cog combination.
Do you happen to know if there's a "magic" ring/cog combination for the Fatboy. I think for the 907 was 34-19 or 18.

Stayed local today. I was going to head up to Mo'Town and do the Marty's Course but given the forecast I figured conditions would change before next week anywho...
Rode the tracks, D&R, and then 6-Mile run. My Garmin took a poop of course because I said nice things about it yesterday!! It shut off somewhere before crossing the road into Orange and didn't come back on until I was almost out of White. Blah. This is normally a 55ish mile loop and took about 6 hours. I got to break trail on the tracks and then I stayed to the side on the Canal to break trail there too. 6-Mile was packed and fast!!

In other, other news, I set up a Funding thing for ITI. Even though the race is in 2016, applications and entry fees are due in April so that's close. I already have almost everything I own going on eBay but that's not going to be enough to get it done. So if you'd like to help sponsor me, that would be awesome!!

I've not had any luck running a tensioner, the EBB on the FatBoy is dialed. Besides, I have the parts to build it back up, then after SSAP I can sell it to help fund Alaska. Anyone want a custom SS FatBoy in April? Lightly used, it only has like 7,000 miles on it 😀
