Going Long and Hard.

Today I hiked all of Sourlands with the Trials Bike looking for lines. Didn’t really feel like riding many of those lines but managed to pull a few. I feel like my comfort level is coming back, but I don’t want to push my luck going into a pretty stacked couple months of events…And it was surprisingly hot in the woods today.

Went up to New Paltz to ride a Century Loop I made. Ended up spending a lot of time dicking around in Minnewaska and Mohonk climbing on rocks and taking pictures so I didn’t have enough time to do the rest. Thank you ADHD 🤷

Anywho, check out these pics.

RUDY fork is phenomenal. Running a 40c tire and the front end has so much bite compared to running rigid with the 50c. Plus I’m an old man and my hands feel good.

I hear this - a suspension fork is becoming mandatory for my sanity these days.

Was sick over the weekend but Commuted into work with the Warakin fully loaded. Being the race is in east bumblefuck PA, I’ll need to pack most of my meals. I went through the map and Googled almost every quickie mart and restaurant on the route for Vegetarian Options and came up pretty dry. There’s a Subway at one point and that’s basically it.

Here’s a photo of my bike from this morning. Tiny chainring is sweet, I went up Washington Rock in the middle of the cassette.

Rode in on my normal ass bike, it’s was weird.

Got the last of my food for Endless. This is one of the times being Vegetarian sucks. I have to carry all of this shit from the start so the first day is gonna be slow AF. The only spot I booked already is World’s End Campground 127 miles into the Route for the 1st night. There’s 14k of climbing the first day so…Not sure when I’ll get there but I have Dinner and Breakfast packed.

Not pictured is the KEG in my downtube bottle cage filled with Liquid IV.

Would it be against the rules or even logistically possible to drop off supplies on the side of the road a day or so before you're expected to come thru?

your tailight may not be visible. fix and wear bright colors. those fracking and logging trucks are no joke, better to pull off if you can. locals also like to buzz you.

air pressure in fork?

good luck to you, i wish i was going too. we have a cabin in the area and i have bikepacked between dushore and worlds end several times. we now have a relative living in dushore too. pm if you get in a bind.
