Fox RP23 seeping oil?

My 4-year old RP23 has lately developed a thin sheen of oil on the upper shock body, in the general vicinity of the rebound (red) knob. See pic. Though I overhaul the air canister every 6 months or so, the oil damper is not self-serviceable, and I'm guessing I need to send it back to Fox? Before I do, can anyone tell me if what I'm seeing requires attention? I've had several Fox shocks in the past and even after many years (in one case almost 8 years), they never developed this seepage. The shock is behaving normally otherwise.

Thanks

thanks man, that's a big help! I suspected as much🙁. I sent an email to Fox to get an RA. Cheers.

Dr...looks to be leaking from the lever.....maybe your springy thingy is causing stress on the shaft and causing the seal to fail.?.........ps.....clean your bike!

Just my luck, as soon as I posted here my new RP2 that came with a new frame that I just built up, blew up. 😡It is going out to PUSH tomorrow.
