How much it weigh?

Not sure i did it because i broke the stock rear rim twice and wanted front suspension , I'm not really worried about weight ,but wanted durability i also went 1x11 . its a solid ride now . I haven't touched my FS29er since i threw a leg over the Fatboy.I am a happy specialized owner !

I got the new Fatboy Pro , it is awesome, rolls over and thru all the rock gardens with that Bluto fork, still climbs like a champ. The spec is ridiculous: 1x11, carbon Next cranks, xt brakes , dropper post etc. I had WYCOFF CYCLES set up the tires tubeless and saved a pound. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415750389.930534.jpg

successful tubeless conversion. I dont know if I have to take the foil out of the insulation foam but anyways it hold air overnight and test rode it yesterday under 8psi. I put 6 scoops of sealant on each wheel though but anyway still ok for me. Thanks Jim.

Was at jungle on sunday , where were you ? Heading to raystown tomorrow rented a huge cabin only 2 people going , free accommodations for you . Whats your excuse this time

Another tubeless setup

Sorry, wrong thread but I don't know how to move the post 🙂

This is from last year but I never got around posting it. Today I took the cobwebs of my fat bike (it has been sitting in my garage since March) and the tires still had air in them.

The wheels are Clownshoes and the tires Bud & Lou.
- Put 1 lap of 1" gorilla tape against each border of the rim, which is enough to overlap the Surly tape that covers the holes in the rims.
- Then put a little square of the same tape covering the valve hole, and put the valve through it.
- Then mount the tire leaving a bit of a side open, add Stans through that (I used 3 scoops), and mount the tire completely.
- Then tie a jute yarn around the tire, through the middle of the rim as tight as possible (any other type of yarn that would snap relatively easy should work), so it pushes the beads of the tire against the borders of the rim.
- Pump the tire. You should be able to use a floor pump. I used that and I got it to seal on the first try (both wheels). If you don't get a good seal and the pump is not enough, a compressor should do the trick.

I used this setup last winter with very low pressure (down to 2 psi in soft snow) and it held really well. Today I added new Stans and was able to seal them back up with the pump again.

Although this worked really well for me I shared this method with a guy that builds wheels for a living (including fat wheels) and he didn't have luck with it, so I don't know if I just got lucky.

Hey wlee maybe you can make the turkey day morning ride with me , its up by jungle on private trails . The crew that built it says its the toughest tech in NJ , perfect for the fatty . Let me know we start at 9

First ride on the Fatboy last night. It's the most bizarre bike I've ever ridden. However, I am completely addicted. I don't anticipate the 29er seeing dirt anytime soon.

Oh come on man, don't just stop with "Bizarre"..... Details please! I love stories people tell about first fatty rides. 🙂

I'm stealing this Pic from Jim (sorry dawg).

Its Bizarre in a lot of ways. First the handling is slow motion. It goes where you want it too, most of the time, but you have to pick your line sooner than on a 29er IME after one ride. Although I have gears it seems to like to operate at two speeds: moderate/casual and Hella Fast! Once it gets going though it wants to keep at it.
