Several rides now on the Specialized Fatboy. Impressed by the design/build. Bike, an XL, handles really well. Fast, almost light steering, responsive frame, amazing rear traction. Been on the beach, various tides. In the snow, both fresh/dry pow and heavy/sticky fresh. Have not yet found the SWEET SPOT, breaking traction and loosing direction on the front.
Gotta say, really enjoy riding and learning on a "New" style of Mtn Bike. Still DIALING tire pressures, but starting to wonder how I'm gonna ride my FULLY with its WIDE.., 26x2.35's. Actually, I can't wait to ride the FATTY on spring/summer trails.

We had one of these in the shop for less than a day. Super awesome bike. That bike competes with bike twice it's price.

I'm gonna buy one if they ever come into stock again...

The frozen tundra Sandy Hook, was a lot of fun yesterday. Allaire today, a blast. Tires really starting to hook up. Didn't think I cld lean a bike like that, in the snow.

I'm loving mine. I got it right when the snow was melting and I was worried I missed out on the fun, but I love it even in the dry. I'll be riding it throughout the summer.

If you're near NYC and want a large, the original one I ordered finally came in. I am no longer claiming it because I found another in the mean time.

I agree purchased a fatboy a month ago, went down to Allaire and did a ride , it was fun then i went to round valley and took her out and was hooked . I like the way it climbs and how you can lean the bike , the bike plowed through the small rock gardens there it was a blast ! I can't wait to take it to JH . I have a feeling that i will ride this more then my other bike this summer . I did the tubeless conversion and it works great (i followed a guys thread he had good pics and explained it well )I did blow 1 tire up " using the explosion method" that was an expensive mistake .

Been riding the bike non stop since February delivery. Can't get enough. I feel the added weight/mass has made me a stronger rider/climber. Have been in H/Shorne a few times and the traction is unreal.
Can't wait to try out 6mile.

Wow, too funny. I did exactly those two rides this past Sat & Sun. I was wondering how this thing would handle rockery terrain, and whether it would be miserable without a suspension. I was pleasantly surprised!

I don't know if all fat bikes are like this, or whether it's the 4.5 Ground Control's, or what. But it was a blast.

What pressures did you run at both parks? I settled on ~8.5 at Allaire and 7.5 at Round.

Which tubeless method did you use? Slit tube and foam or gorilla tape? Trying to decide which to use on my Fatboy.

I was there on the 16th's too!

Only saw one other biker -- not a fattie. I was on the way in, he was headed out. Was it you?

We've been setting them up using the foam/tape method at the shop. We did 3 or 4 Fatboys tubeless so far. Super impressed with this bike!!

PS-We have a large one in stock at the moment if you know anyone, they go fast.

I think a lot of it's in the fork on a Muk? Non-drilled rims? 27tpi tires? That stuff adds up quick!! FTR, the Fatboy out of the box at $2,000 is lighter than a $4,000 Fatback or 9:ZERO:7...True story.
