My new carbon hoops arrived, it only took 3 holidays to get here from the land of carbonium. Be warned this new "duty free shipping" gets around the T-word but at the cost of an extra fortnite or two of waiting for some reason. For 80mm 27.5's laced to DT350s, they come in at 2040g so i was pleased with that. Wish i could have found a suitable lightweight carbon XL frame with more modern geo but the Skookum AF does deliver on that, albeit a bit portly. The seat tube angle is a strangely little steep once the fork settles into sag and so i had to use a longer stem than normal to get my cockpit ergos dialed. Steep ST angles are good for full squish since both ends sag but this one stands you so damn upright when the 120mm fork sags, its very noticible. Anyways, where do i take it to break it in tomorrow?

Can anyone give me some tire pressure starting recommendations for different situations like typical hardpack trail (rock, root, dirt), hard snow/sand and lastly softer snow/sand? Me and bike are about 230# rtr and the tires are 27.5x4.5". Just ran it through the Wolftooth pressure calc and they recommend 2psi for snow/sand. 😆🤷‍♂️

5 or 6psi would be a good starting point. Go lower if the snow is deep-ish.
