AgreedGet some time on a any bike with the new Bosch drive unit. On many rides recently I’ve swapped bikes with other riders. It’s not just my opinion that this is the preferred setup.
Yup. First winter I rode in Allamuchy I only got about 18 miles before I got the warning light (<20%). Normally I'll have at least 2 bars out of 5 of juice left after that distance.Has anyone experienced shorter range with the colder temps?
Absolutely. Also make sure to charge/store not in cold sheds/garages.Has anyone experienced shorter range with the colder temps?
Welcome to the dark side.Never thought I have an ebike at the ripe age of 61 but health issues got me thinking
Changed my riding style to more gravel and enjoy it but miss tech single-track
Fast forward I've been riding a spez levo for the last 2 days and love it able to ride stuff I've been shying away from
Killer deal on the bike trigger will be pulled
There are 2 things I do to help with this:Has anyone experienced shorter range with the colder temps?
To add to thisThere are 2 things I do to help with this:
1. take the battery off the bike and charge it inside, then travel with it inside your car and attach it before you start.
2. get a neoprene sleeve and wrap it around your downtube where the battery resides. You may have to cut some notches in the sleeve to get it to fit around shock mounts.
Works just like boot gloves or a facemask for skiing.View attachment 227176
radiant heating for your plants! To add to this
If you can't get your bike inside you can use seed starting mats wrapped around battery when stored in garage or shed.

I'm honestly thinking about a 6x4 shed dedicated to ebikes. Insulate and heat. This way they stay cozy and fire isn't an issue on the house.radiant heating for your plants!
I've been had at least 2 ebikes hanging in my uninsulated shed since 2017. Never had a battery issue.I'm honestly thinking about a 6x4 shed dedicated to ebikes. Insulate and heat. This way they stay cozy and fire isn't an issue on the house.
Did you tell him he'd be more comfortable if he adjusted the angle of his seat?I have zero issues with ebikes and will get one at some point. But this was a new one on my ride yesterday in the Carlton preserve. Guy on an ebike smoking a cigarette. At least he was wearing a helmet!

It will happen eventually. I'm not looking forward to when the insurance companies start jacking up our rates due to potential ebike fires.I think batteries in ebikes catching on fire are limited to those cheap Amazon variety. I haven't heard any ebikes from any of the mainstream bike brands going up in flames.
Seems like it's already started...I'm not looking forward to when the insurance companies start jacking up our rates due to potential ebike fires.
