Just because you can put cargo on the sides of your bike doesn't mean you should. A longer narrow bike is more useful to haul. The infrastructure isn't ready for this.

Anything short of this I would not even consider..

I'm trying to figure out how to integrate one of my Proflex/K2 frames into a similar contraption...

One these maybe be coming to a trail near you 😉

Just get a Ser-Ron and a peddle kit and call it a day

Motor cycles are bikes with motors . I find it stunning what people are paying for e bikes. Sir-Ron proves my point. It’s hard to look at something like the offerings from Yeti e bikes an say a $4,200 Sur-Ron and not wonder where the money is going. For the price of the Yeti, you can get a full KTM E dirt bike…. Jmo

I can see your point of why not buy a motorcycle but i come to same reason why i stopped motoing in the first place. NJ is a unfriendly moto state. So i got into mtbs back when it taking off so i could ride those trails again. Its all about getting out in the woods.

As far as cost, you can spend more on a analog yeti or pivot ect then what i paid for my orbea. All depends what you want to spend. I see prices dropping on new but also see prices maxing on top tier. This guy is never spending 15k on new bike but i may spend 8k which plenty of top tier analogs come in at.

Id love to have a e ktm but then i would have to be in a state that has true multi use trail systems.

Exactly. I tried getting into moto but it turned into one more sport I don't really have time for. I bought the bike and then never used it. Then it became one more engine in my fleet to keep track of. And while PA is more moto friendly than NJ, it's still not practical where I live and I would need to drive a fair distance to ride dirt. And if I'm doing that, then I may as well ride a mtn bike. I have a similar attitude towards skiing. If I have a choice between riding or skiing, I'll pick riding every time. Skiing is only something I do when the trails are too crappy to ride and it's colder than I'd like to ride road.

I find it stunning that there are people that think they know how to live or spend your own money better than you.

Some don't know the difference between a motorcycle with bicycle pedals and a bicycle with a motor. I suspect they've never had a proper ride on an ebike.

We got our Globe Order. These things are way too much fun. I set our Floor Bike up with the Throttle Upgrade because that's really what the people want.

I like it. It has a home built look to it. I built an ebike off an old cro-mo MTB. 48v Battey + 1000w hub motor. Could easily hit 35mph+. Very fun, but the lack of suspension really beats you up at speed. I wound up selling it, but I'm not going to lie, I miss it.
