Dropper post changed my game completely for the better.
Being short with short legs made it impossible to move around a standard post to get into the correct body position when descending and cornering. I always felt like I was way too high and forward and would freeze up and slam on the brakes.
With the dropper, the seat is out of the way enough to get low and back and descend without braking and now I can drive the bike down the hill and huck over rocks and logs with ease.
I am running a Giant connect 75mm which Ben gave me. I don't think I need any more travel than a 75mm at this point. The giant post is on the heavy side, I wonder if there are other brands that sell a 50 - 75mm drop post that is lighter than the Giant post.
