Does this make you angry too???

To the Ringwood trail crew; why the hell are you removing every log or ramped log on the trail? I just rode the red trail, and it's pathetic. If you can't ride over it, then walk. There are miles of fire road if you want it easy. Seriously.

Or to paraphrase the old guy, " get off your ass and help repair the trails into the trails you'd like to ride"

Really man don't be so quick to speak and get your ass out there....

Yeah I know, it seemed much more entertaining when I was posting it. It reads pretty harsh in hindsight.

Actually, i dont think you sounded harsh at all.

I am usually sleeping at this time, and I had a real horrible day so may be crankier than usual but I am really fed up with all the bitching that goes on about the trails. Look, dont like it, dont ride there! that is true for those that like logs and those that dont. Gee some people would kill to be able to ride and you people bitch about a log or two, or about logs being removed. STFU already.

Well, here you are again, telling people what they should and shouldn't think. I really don't care what you think about technical trails. Up here in North Jersey, we've always enjoyed the challenge of Rock Gardens, Logs, Drops, Jumps, and other technical challenges. As for your "don't like it, don't ride there" quote, how about taking your own advice; if the trail is too technical for you (or for anyone else) just leave it alone and don't ride it! Nobody gave you any right to have an opinion for anyone else. So maybe it's time for you to "STFU already".

you dont read very well do you?

I do take my own advice and walk it or learn to ride it. I am just really sick of seeing people bitch about the trail when there are people in wheelchairs wishing they could ride.

bump that. now that's funny.

:getsome:

Here we go with the "get out there" rhetoric. When I had the time, I was out there, so don't preach to me. Now if a 70 year old oak falls across the trail, of course it should be removed. But I still don't understand why a half ramped log that had been there for 5 years was removed. On a trail that leads to even knarlier features. Was It really messing with your flow that much? You know, there are plenty of "easier" trails to ride back there.

And if I was "out there" with you, would I have been able to talk you out of it?

How do you know it was the trail group that did it? Maybe someone (wrongfully) took it upon themselves to remove a feature they didn't like.

This may have been the case. According to the sawyer that came down red, no log overs that have been there for 5 years were removed. They cleared trees blocking the trail. If a cut is made in a log, where the log can be ridden, the ride over is always left so that those that like to ride over can. If a log is more than 2 feet high, and is close to neighborhoods, sometimes a small go around is cut for hikers and dog walkers. There have been a ton of people in there with chain saws that are not part of Jorba.

I live where its flat...so anything other than log overs is very technical. Were I/we ride (Estell) people have been making go arounds over log and cutting back the very narrow sections between baby pines...I was exstreamly upset at first, but as I've matured and realized that one day (hope/pray I'm still riding) that I will be the one going around just like them...sad to say..but unless you ride or do something all the time..skills deminish...let face it, like Awers Mom said..we could all end up in a wheel chair tomorrow (think about it..its not out of the relm of possability)...we would then be calling for a different type of trail all together...just had to put it out there..we should all agree to disagree and still agree...lol. Its not a perfect world 🙄

I have to admit...the quote "whoever said nothing is impossable hasn't tried to staple water to a tree" is pretty funny....Nonetheless, I have to remind those that "With God all things are possable" Mathew~ 26:19
