Deer Park Conditions

We took care of this one on Rogue today. Bill and a recent NICA graduate did the bulk of the cutting. I helped finish the cut.

There was a report of tree down on Orange (down to Waterloo), but we didn't pass anything out of the norm that wasn't a feature or grandfathered log-over. 😁

Love this!

Actually there were a few smaller trees down on the "to/from the school" near the rock gardens. Sorry, we were on a longer ride today and it was hot/humid so I skipped detailed intel. My mental note said just ride that trail with the chainsaw. Maybe @mattybfat can gather better details on his Tues ride?

I did a quick trip on the "Allamuchy Pond trail" from the school up to the rock garden. I cleared a small cedar tree, the crown of which had blocked the trail. Had been there so long that the bypass was pretty legit. I had previously cleared from the Panther Valley Mall side to the rock garden, so I assumed I didn't have to revisit that side.

Probably right around where you turned around 😕

That kind of news makes me thrilled. I'm gonna wait for better Intel on the rest of the park before I revisit.

Thank you that area is well know for massive falls. Always a good breeze over the lake.
Over the years, I've recognized several hot spots. The lake view trail is definitely one of them. Hally toe/tally Ho is similar. And the mayhem isn't over in those areas..other trees of similar make/model/size are still threatening.
