Deer Park Conditions

Light covering...or at least it was this weekend. 60% of the trails had some sort of snow covering on them albeit very thin
With the warmer temps towards the end of the week/weekend do you think it’ll be a mess? Trying to figure out where to ride this weekend.

Thanks. Think regular MTB tires ok? Or Fat? Would prefer to take the regular bike. Wasnt sure if too slippery for regular tires.

Teutonic and I did a day-long chainsaw mission into DP today, clearing all of the known major stuff. Including Rogue. We only left two lower priority "hand sawable" targets behind, see attached. One of those was our mistake. We sailed past the intersection it was near, and by the time we figured that out, we were long gone. (near Deer park trail/Top of Waterloo North (orange)). The other just wasn't on our route today, but it was known to be passable. (unlblazed, near Birch trail (yellow). But anyway, that happened today. Thanks to Matt for the Intel and Teutonic for all the help!!

Conditions were pretty reasonable but the usual squishy sections were still pretty squishy. In particular the stretch on Deer Park trail, where it meets Lake view trail. And the entry from the new 7-11 lot was a little soft too. (nice work on that, first time using it). Otherwise, the other 98% of the park ran great.

I rode Rogue this morning and was thinking of posting the downed trees. Thanks for doing that! They were not close to any accessible road unless you count Rt 80. Must take some effort to get there with the gear. Conditions were good from what I saw, but I only did a loop up the fire road from SSP to the start of the top of Rogue and down Rogue.
