How were the dead falls?Overall conditions good. Some over grown spots but I feel like it's that way in a lot of parks.
We started at the school and just did the white trail/outer loop. One tree down on the trail that connects road to yellow... otherwise it was fine. I will update/post on TF.How were the dead falls?
Mooch had a lot of new. We tackled what we could move but definitely a spike of new stuff all over.
I didnt but @Eddie Z did. Ive been through there since and grass is a little high but ok. Just remember coming in that the main trail from the road the trail cuts/bypasses left to avoid the first wet spot then does the same to the right shortly after you go over the culvert pipe.@Fat Trout did you ever get to clear the blowdowns on 7-11 entrance trail? Seems @JohnB reported back in Sept it was clear but some walk arounds?
Cool. Thx. We’ll be riding tomorrow a bit earlier than Matty’s start time but may see you in there.I didnt but @Eddie Z did. Ive been through there since and grass is a little high but ok. Great job! As for the school trail, it's good (except one log), but you can tell that it will only take two weeks of spring to be overgrown again.Yeah I spent a solid week in there hitting the brushback. Glad to hear school trail was good because that was my next mission. Barberry is in extreme invasive problem in DP and a safe haven for tick population. Trying to keep that at bay is full time job.
The one on the school trail now cleared. Thx for the heads-up.Great job! As for the school trail, it's good (except one log), but you can tell that it will only take two weeks of spring to be overgrown again.
Park by the Panther Pub, cross the street and enter the woods. Afterwards, get a brew and burger at the pub. Win win!Think I've only been here once. Where to park and suggestions for a 2 hr ride?
I've sent this to @chainsawer so he is aware of this. Thank you. This tree is on the white trail approx 0.25 mile south of Deer Park Pond.
