cross practice

if you get out of work early on weds. the cross practice is still going on at otto farm starting at 4:00.

cross practice starts on 9/1/10 at ottos farm park in hillsborough. course should be up at 5:30 and racing starts at 6:00. everyone starts at the same time and we will do 2 or 3 20 min. sessions with a short break between. great for beginners and also challenging for elites. no cost

Sounds great! I'll try to rope in a few cross racers (and novices like myself) from the Princeton bike team.

In addition to racing, is there any chance of some sort of cross clinic to practice dismounts, remounts, etc.? Or is it just trial by fire? I missed the Rutgers clinic, and while I have a few CX races under my belt, I'd definitely love to learn from some established riders.

Anthony, every week is a clinic just with a elevated heart rate. There is a bunch of experienced riders to get advice from. hope to see you there. Dan

Should anyone with a 26" mountain bike want to try a skinnier tire, I've got 2 Continental Cross Country. They're 1.5 inches wide and pretty aggressively bumpy. Not the fastest things out there, but maybe good for anyone who'd like to see how it feels on thinner tires. I may also be able to find the tubes. Will trade 'em for a six pack or two. I'll be at Otto's on the 1st and will bring 'em if anyone's interested.

Don't anyone let Christophe buy a 'cross bike. It was hard enough to shake him on his wife's commuter. Fantastic day out there! Thanks Dan!
