Chimney Rock Conditions

Loving the conditions! The new new trail at Cromwell is just spectacular! Well done team!

On my escape from Cromwell I saw the 9 missing from the sign. Made me think of 009 or for Cromwell 00CC.

It needs a little more handwork but I am pretty happy w the result.

More to come.

Please remember to renew your jorba membership with Auto-Renew.

The bigger issue I am seeing is tracks from high powered motorcycles on the trail. These guys need to be discouraged when you see them. I hope I don't see them when I am out there for their sake.
Saw the first 2 kids/teens on Thursday - they were at the basketball courts - I didn't actually see them on the trails at all, but with the gate being closed, I'm pretty sure they didn't take the road in.

Saw the other 2 come up from Brookside - they rode right past and took the gravel path... Looks like a dad and his son.

This is a problem.

Jerkoffs.

We had a great morning. My daughter and another kid from the P2 nica team crushed it. We resurfaced and smoothed out a few rough corners.

I also think I finally got the wet spot to dry out fully.

I’m quite stoked at this result.

Anyone have insight for today? Guessing slick but thought I’d ask. Have errands to run in area…

Good guess. I took a quick ride yesterday after work, spots of slick mud, softness and some standing water. It’s not unrideable, you’ll get dirty - but it could probably use a day like today to dry out.

Short ride from ballfield to Cromwell. The black trail was mushy and a few small puddles at Cromwell
Just did most of red/white/ballfield/cromwell/orange and all better than yesterday. Still some puddles on white and cromwell (smaller) and still some grease spots, but better (saying this just as a storm is bearing down on us and power went out a few times!).

@Robin my bad, I should have added that along w/ blue, upper black is also a cesspool of mud holes. The low line is way drier.

2 trees down on orange:

No tools but was able to clean up all the branches around it to make it easily passable over:

Other tree can duck under but for us tall lanky folks it's a close call:
