Hey folks, just wanted to let you know of a few shows my band, The Eastside Vibe has coming up.

We're playing tonight Fri 9/2 at Yards Brewery, Philadelphia.
Tonight is First Friday so there will be a lot going on around the city.
We play a 1 hour set at 8:00 followed by our Saxaphone Player's other band, The Sideshow Prophets at 9:00. $5.00 @ door

We're also playing Next Friday, 9/9 at Triumph Brewery, New Hope PA.
We play all night. 3 sets starting at 10:00 PM $5.00 @ door

The music is horn-driven, old-school, dirty, stinky FUNK. A little bit of soul, a little bit of jazz. We like to lay it down thick and heavy. In other words, it's music that tastes like fried chicken!

I saw your FB status. My ex girlfriend used to listen to some pretty wacked out industrial music. I can't even remember the names of some of the artists. The Lyrics were all in German and I remember it being stressful to listen to. Maybe if I was a Terminator, I would get it. There's something for everyone!

That sounds like Rammstein, though I suspect all music that comes out of Germany sounds like that. I thought it was pretty terrible the 1 time I listened to it.

BTW you lose points for taking that post even 1% seriously at all.

I think the hardest part is riding in a straight line, on the canal path, in the dark after a few beers.

Both. But mostly originals. We do throw in some old covers though - James Brown, The Meters, Maceo Parker, Tower of Power, Ohio Players... That kind of stuff.
