Car-spotting thread

Yeah not buying. whatever she drives we lease so it keeps the warranty and thats my only car payment in the house.

I have had a few different Hyundais already, but as you mentioned you get more for the money in terms of options so will still look at them both despite some of the quality concerns. Since I dont plan to keep it beyond 3 years everything will be covered if there's any issues like what i have seen online with the Telluride.

Funny enough she doesnt want less HP than the minivan (280), and all the toyotas only come with 2.4L turbo at 265. The Pilot is an easy default choice but I think for the same money we can get something with more options.

Still tire kicking so will see how it goes.

265 but a much flatter torque curve. She'd be surprised by the power delivery I think.

Who out there has the best used car financing in your opinion? I do realize that rates are high but I'd rather defer some payments.

I dunno about best rates but Lightstream is so damn easy to use and so fast

Otherwise my credit union (Campbell credit union NJ) if I have time has the best rates but they ask for 100 things and then in the end will not approve even though your credit score is outstanding. I've also used Alliant credit union with success

People also say pen fed or navy federal but I forget why those didn't work out for me in the past.

I posted a while ago that my brother bought a stock '55 Chevy. He just sent me a picture of the new engine that he built for it. It's a 383 with ~380hp that is built to look like the stock motor. Aluminum camel hump heads and manifold but painted. He is going to keep the stock motor in storage and not make any non- reversible mods. The stock 265ci had about 165hp so a bit of an upgrade. 😁
