Car-spotting thread

What's the purpose of the lifts? Doesn't seem they fit anything underneath
Ya know. I can't recall if there were cars under some lifts or not. Probably like 30 lifts in there and I did a quick walk around. I don't need to be tempted.

They seemed to be positioned between beams so more room than it looks. Pretty sure you can squeeze another one under if they have more inventory and space is needed but I don't think they would on a daily basis in case cars start leaking. Otherwise, other reasons - under body inspection by buyers, cleaning, rodent safe!?

I can't believe it snowed like 8"! Eagerly waiting for a couple rain storms!

And I give you our hooptie for the week
We had reserved a midsized suv, but then were told it would be a half hour to wait for one at pick up.

We were offered a full sized car or this compact suv if we didn’t want to wait.
Looking at it from the front (and 50 yards away), this looked totally reasonable.

It is not by any standard.

if Shriners drove SUVs.

Note the complete lack of leg and cargo room. Lol

Fortunately we don’t need a ton of space, so it’s fine, but this thing is a joke.

Is that thing even tubeless?

See years ago, this would be a 2 door escort hatch back....or like a civic CRX....but no....NOWWWWW everyone MUST say they have an SUV...So they take the footprint of the 2 door hatchback...jam two extra/useless doors on the side....jack it up off the ground for no functional reason other than the driver feels higher up....This is what happens when the public gets what they want....Rather than what would be a more functional vehicle....hatchbacks/wagons :)

I had a 4dr horizon in 1987 that we took skiing to VT with 4 guys and a ski rack. Pretty sure we were over gvw. Best vehicle ever.

Similar- '77 Rabbit doe. Whaddacar. We did VT, a few Moosehead Lake trips, and even an Acadia NP run with it too. Electrical fires and rear main seals be dammed. Gotta dig up some pix o' dat beast.

Yep, big wagon fan here. Sadly the only wagon within reach of mere mortals in the US these days is the Outback and even that has begun to drift toward the bloated overcladded over styled realm of today’s SUV world. There are a few left in the premium market (Audi, MB, Volvo) that still look good but $$$$&.

Anyone wish we could bring back the blue? I’m still rocking my blue vanity plates from 1987. As a license plate collector, the current pale yellow has always been meh to me. 1st world problem but still…could be good for those with vintage cars.
