Car-spotting thread

Another guy was kind enough to send me this to check, basically shortening the booster rod. I'm fluent in Latin, but not this... please translate
I'm planning to get a matching billet arm and pedal to the gas, so maybe the replacement will resolve the pedal height differentials?

The bore of the master will affect the "throw" of your pedal....smaller the bore, less fluid it holds, more throw it takes to move the calipers in and out. IIRC, you car has an aftermarket wilwood master in it? If so i would call them and ask them if they make different rod lengths. It might have some "universal" rod lenth in it currently...Is the rod length adjustable?

Yeah, any brand that makes this choice is effectively a non-starter for me (sorry, but BMW was a non-starter after the 1970's 2002 models). So I'm back to try and convince my wife into a restomod next car...
Car companies who dont jump on this dumb idea will just advertise "heated seats no subscription required!"
Never been a fan of BMW overall but this would keep me away...even for an M car.

it has the word fabricate in it - this means pay someone to do it!

No I totally get that aspect of it and the power window example is a good one...I meant more that this idea will become a turn off to your brand...unless of course all brands do this and were all fucked. Like as much as I would love a new bronco...if I walked into the dealer and I had to pay a monthly fee for heated seats, im out. You have lost me as a customer. And the car industry isnt the airline industry where we are forced to bend over to the same extent. There are TONS of choices out there. So I dont know...ill be surprised if this idea goes mainstream. BMW...I mean if @Carson wants to pay a fortune for a "german car" put together by hillbillys in south carolina, more power to him.

Hey, my VIN starts with W. Made in Leipzig. We'll see if the next ones are, though.

M3’s and 4’s are also not US. Germany (Regensberg). As for heated seats debate, I was under the impression the heating function would still work from within the car as it does on older models, but that what you pay for is the option to heat them remotely (such as when you are heading home on the train after work in January and want the seats toasty when you get in) 🤔

out with the new, in with the old

cant tell you what a JOY this is to install now that the engine is in the car..usually I would put the engine side bracket (that is now up inside the headers) with the engine out....the frame side...you cant get to the bolts from about bc of the steering box, so you just have to reach over and feel around lol

I have also never installed the clutch fork with the bell housing on, that was fun too

Took a seldom used car and forgot to grab the Ezpass. Was on the wrong lane for exit102 on the GSP and couldn't get over to the toll collector side. Is there a way to pay the toll online? Or will they just fine me the customary $50 plus the toll?

Just add the lic plate of the seldom used car on your ezpass acct. No fine, no need for the transponder in the car.

I added my Dad’s license plate to mine. He’s welcome.

If you don't get it in time, you can just fill out the form they send you, the fine is waived, and the plate will be added IIRC.
