TOYOTA all day for reliability and the now std safety features. I'm assuming your budget for either those cars is close to a new ecno Toyota that is more spacious and has the new safety tech and apple carplay/google.

well look at it this way, the prius will stop him from getting any speeding tickets . . . or girlfriends(but then again the vw or the mini will help to prevent that last one too)
