Car issue and suggestions needed

wheel bearings are wear items, not sure how many miles you had when they went out, but yea . . . .

that said my 17 RAM has been phenomenal with only 1 repair (a/c bearing oddly enough), that said you DID buy the first model year of the new generation so . . . .
45k catastrophic...then 64k then 93k

Ill add they still coat the frame with the stuff that sluffed off and clogged the frame drains

No, it’s not just the door checker. That is not the problem. It’s where it mounts to on the inside of the door shell that’s broken. I was given the impression that the mount is not fixable, and an entire new door shell will need to be ordered painted and replaced.
Hey Ryan, just getting caught up on this thread.....This sucks and sorry to hear....sounds like something stupid....I tend to agree with @OddTrickStar . Im sure somebody can hack fix it....im assuming that its something like a threaded hole in the sheet metal door shell that is stripped.....Not sure what it looks like, but im sure there is a shop in the area that can fix it. (can't think of one off the top of my head as this is the stuff I am usually doing to fix my own shit boxes)

i was also thinking time to trade it in and make it someone elses problem, but in 4 years how many miles can you realistically have on it? you probably still have plenty of that powertrain warranty (assuming they are still doing 100k for that).
Wouldn’t this be good for resale and maybe trade?

I've got family in the auto body business. If you're close to Elmwood Park, go to Proline Body & Chassis, tell them you know Tom Fontana, you ride mtb with me., my brother Todd owns the place. Let them have a look at it for a fab fix. If the part that needs to be welded back onto the vehicle is indeed on the outer skin, then the door will definitely need to be painted after the weld happens. Feel free to PM me if you do go this route.
